Colorado Modeling Solutions was founded in August 2020 by Michel Lesoinne and Ulrich Hetmaniuk. Our mission is to develop cutting edge computational modeling software that leverages the latest in multi-core/GPU/HPC hardware for near real-time simulations of complex and coupled problems.
Michel Lesoinne has a PhD in Aerospace Engineering with over 30 years of experience in High Performance Computing particularly in Solid Mechanics, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Aeroelasticity and Acoustic problems. He has supervised the design and development of finite element, finite volume and scientific visualization software. He was a co-winner of a 2002 Gordon Bell award.
He has written and published mobile applications on Android and “Software as a Service” applications usable from any mobile platform (computer, cell phone or tablet).
Ulrich Hetmaniuk has a PhD in Aerospace Engineering with over 20 years of experience in scientific computing. He has developed software used by private companies and participated in the development of Trilinos, a 2004 R&D100 Award winner.
Prior to forming Colorado Modeling Solutions, Ulrich was an Associate Professor of Applied Mathematics at University of Washington and worked at Sandia National Laboratories.
